Study on the Basic Performance Deterioration Law and the Application of Lead Rubber Bearings under the Alternation of Aging and Seawater Erosion

Lead rubber isolation bearings are well-recognized as a common and effective means to mitigate the seismic responses of bridges. However, used in offshore bridges extremely vulnerable action alternation aging seawater erosion caused by weather conditions, wind, waves, other factors. Meanwhile, deterioration law application lead subject effect cycles not clear. Thus, testing on both (LRB) materials were carried out. The parameters for Mooney–Rivlin model material LRBs determined time-varying basic performance was obtained based test results their material. Then, applied into finite-element verify degradation LRBs. Finally, substituted finite investigate impact property performance. bridge structures also studied element analysis. show that horizontal vertical stiffness increase with alternating time, 16.1% 24.3%, respectively, during 120-year service period. Additionally, LRB significantly affected erosion. indicate has great influence anti-seismic structures. After 120 years under erosion, maximum displacement pier top bridges, bending moment at bottom, bearing increased 14.2%, 6.6%, 9.1%, respectively. findings this paper play an important role behavior study life-cycle analysis traffic projects such sea-crossing marine environments. At same they lay theoretical foundation cycles.
